The Shamrock Thoroughbreds owned Eglish scored her 5th win of 2020 and second win for current connections under a well judged ride from new stable apprentice Cian MacRedmond. She was drawn poorly with a wide trip for most of the 7 furlong contest but MacRedmond did not panic and produced the Heeraat filly with a well timed challenge a furlong and a half from home.

Winning trainer Ado McGuinness was all praise for MacRedmond who had only joined the stable two weeks previously. “Cian is not with us long but he gave the filly a beautiful ride and I think he is a kid we will be hearing a lot about in 2021. Eglish is improving and with a better draw next time, she could go close to winning again. We will freshen her up and go for the 0-75 7 furlong contest on 18th December.
