Harry’s Bar got back to winning ways for our syndicate Shamrock Thoroughbreds at Dundalk tonight by landing the BetVictor Race under Wayne Lordon, his third win for the syndicate.
The 6yo Exceed And Excel gelding was held up early on but took closer orders entering the straight travelling well under Wayne when he then pushed him out entering the final furlong to lead and win by 2 lengths from the Andrew Oliver trained The Highway Rat.
Speaking afterwards, Stephen Thorne said “He’s a high class horse on this surface. We’ve been eyeing this race up for quite a while. We’re thrilled to get this on the board and it’s being used as a prep run for the Mercury Stakes here at the end of the month.”
