Tosen Wish claimed his first win for his connections when arriving late on the scene to get up under Danny Sheehy to win the William Hill Epic Boost Racing League Race 38 Handicap in Southwell last Wednesday, a win which proved vital to Ireland’s chances in the end, who would go on and land the William Hill Racing League title under the stewardship of Ireland’s manager Kevin Blake.
Having settled in early, Danny moved his mount to the outside as they made the turn for home over 2 furlongs out. He made his challenge against the early pacesetters down the straight and stayed on strongly on the nearside to land the £30,000 contest by a head from Cabinet Of Clowns.
Speaking afterwards, Ado said, “He’s a good horse and he ran well up in Newcastle a couple of weeks back. Danny was very good on him today. We will have a look at the programme and see if there is anything on the All-Weather programme coming up.
The Racing League is a great competition with plenty of nice prize money and I think ARC have done a great job promoting the competition this year. We will definitely come back next year with some runners”.
